Philip Morris Drops Social Media Campaign After Getting Caught Using Young ‘Influencers’

Cigarette maker Philip Morris (PMI) canceled a global marketing campaign after being criticized for using social media influencers under the legal age to use tobacco. 

PMI used young adult influencers to market a new “heated tobacco” device, including a young woman in Russia, despite the company’s public promises to try and prevent youth from starting a tobacco habit.
