Uptick in Teen Cigarette Use Linked to Vaping

After declining for two decades, the rate of teen cigarette smoking in the United States has gone up, according to early data from the annual National Youth Tobacco Survey. 8.1 percent of high school students reported smoking cigarettes in 2017, up from 7.6 percent in 2016.

Critics have warned a surge in e-cigarette use may cause nicotine-addicted kids to migrate to conventional cigarettes, according to this story from CNBC.
