Netflix announced recently that it will remove depictions of smoking in all future programming it creates that is aimed at younger viewers.
The change won’t apply to existing shows. The announcement comes after a new report by the anti-smoking group Truth Initiative that found the amount of tobacco imagery in popular teen programs has more than tripled in the past year.
