Advertising campaigns from the e-cigarette companies prove that history repeats itself. That’s according to Dacia Hudson, program manager for the Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership at El Paso County Public Health.
Hudson attributes the prevalence of teen vaping to a combination of “misinformation and marketing.” Teens don’t see vaping as a risky behavior, and vape companies subtly target youth users through flavors and youth-focused campaigns.
