Leading Health Organizations Launch National Youth Anti-Vaping Curriculum

February 15th, 2021

Several leading health organizations have launched a national youth anti-vaping curriculum called “Vaping: Know the Truth” to guide teachers and empower teens who vape to quit, or to never start in the first place.

Truth Initiative and Kaiser Permanente, in collaboration with the American Heart Association, developed the digital course to help educators communicate the dangers of vaping to young people, and ensure young people can get support to quit if they are struggling.

While health data from this year indicates e-cigarette use among young people in Colorado is now less than the national average, youth vaping rates remain high and have health organizations calling for more significant restrictions on flavored products.
