Health Officials Fear Isolation Could Cause Teen Vaping Rates to Remain

Because Colorado has the highest rate of teen vaping in the country among states surveyed, health officials are worried the novel coronavirus pandemic might be making the vaping problem worse as youth face added stress and isolation. 

“Vape’s No Escape” is one recent ad campaign that features Colorado teens talking about ways they cope with stress and the dangers of vaping. The local health department is hopeful that teens will see themselves in these stories and be reminded of healthy ways to relieve stress or loneliness.
