9News: Inspiration and Resources for Coloradans Thinking About Quitting Smoking

More than 14 percent of Coloradans smoke cigarettes today. Among smokers looking to quit, those who rely on support are 7x more likely to be successful than those that do not.

Michelle Lynch, tobacco cessation supervisor for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, appeared on 9News on March 31 to talk about the free resources available for Coloradans who are thinking about quitting.

Angel Ramirez, a Denver woman who is more than 100 days into her quit journey, appeared with Lynch to talk about how support from her loved ones and free state resources have helped her stay tobacco free. Angel has been sharing her journey through a series of video diaries designed to encourage others who are also thinking about quitting.
