The FDA also said that Krave didn’t submit a premarket tobacco product application to the FDA for the product. In short, it put them on the market illegally.
“Nicotine gummies are a public health crisis just waiting to happen among our nation’s youth, particularly as we head into a new school year,” said FDA Commissioner Robert M. Califf, M.D., in a press release.
Since the FDA sent its warning, Krave discontinued its gummies. The maker could still follow guidelines to sell the product legally, and other similar products could still find their way to store shelves.

The FDA sent a warning in August to Krave, the makers of nicotine gummies.
They might look like candy, but each gummy has enough nicotine to poison a small child.
Krave discontinued its gummies, but the FDA called the products “a public health crisis just waiting to happen.”
