50 Years of Progress

2014 
marked the 50th anniversary of the Surgeon General’s Report on Smoking and Health. Since 1964 significant progress has been made, with smoking prevalence among U.S. adults cut in half. Even with these successes, tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable disease, disability and death in the U.S.
